    Description

    This is a Twist Type doorbell made by R&E with a patent date of 1893. The bell is in good working condition with
    minimal
    wear. The bell  produces a nice ring as the key is turned in either direction.
    Except for the back plate on the bell everything else, including the key is made of brass. The bell is 3 " in diameter and the total bell assembly is about 4" by 3 1/4 ".  The key plate measures a little over 3" by 1 1/2".  A new connecting rod is included that should fit a door up to 2 1/2" thick. The rod will probably need to be trimmed.
