BMW R 26 250cc Touring and Sport 15 HP A moderately priced sin- gle cylinder motorcycle with the features of a big machine. The rugged 15 HP, OHV engine is unit-built with the four- speed footshift transmis- sion. Note absence of separate oil tank and oil lines, typical of all BMW motorcycles. The battery in all BMW single cylin- der models is fully en- closed. BMW R 27 250cc Touring and Sport 18 HP A high-performance sin- gle cylinder machine with “floating engine." This new BMW single has its 18 HP, OHV engine mounted in rubber blocks with the result that vi- b r a t i o n is practically eliminated. Power to spare for extra passen- ger and luggage loads, even for operation with sidecar. All BMW motor- cycles have large, safe, full-hub brakes. BMW R 50 500cc Touring and Sport 26 HP The popular, medium priced touring and sports motorcycle with the hor- izontally opposed, two cylinder, OHV engine. This same engine layout is used in all BMW Twins. Dual carburetors, dual exhaust system, automat- ic spark advance, four- speed footshift transmis- sion and single plate, auto-type clutch are standard on all BMW Twins. BMW R 50-S 500cc Sport 35HP A fast and powerful sports motorcycle with high-compression, OHV engine, developing 35 HP. BMW Twin engines are famous for excellent cooling characteristics. All BMW Twins are equipped with dispos- able micro-airfilter and fuel filter. BMW mach- ines are 100% oil-tight and have wet-sump lub- rication. The new hy- draulic steering dampen- er is standard equipment on the R 50-S (and on the R 69-S). BMW R 60 600cc Touring and Sport 30 HP A rugged two-cylinder motorcycle for high cruis- ing speeds with abundant power to provide for heavy passenger and luggage load. Now with 30 HP, OHV engine and improved high-pressure lubrication. The robust rear-end ring and pinion gears and the enclosed shaft drive of BMW mo- torcycles are running in oil-bath and never need adjustment. BMW R 60 600cc 30 HP, with Sidecar A perfect combination for sport and travel. All BMW Twins are equip- ped with sidecar lugs for right-hand sidecar at- tachment. The Earles- type front fork is adjust- a b I e for sidecar use. BMW “Special'’ sidecars are equipped with hy- draulic brake, spare- wheel, windshield, dust- cover, locking luggage compartment. Sidecars are quickly detachable and have fine upholstery finish. BMW R 69 600cc Touring and Sport 35 HP Built along classical BMW lines, this excellent sports machine has an engine producing 35 HP which is specially bal- anced and tuned for top performance. Large di- ameter valves, extra large carburetors and 8:1 compression ratio are de- signed for fast accelera- tion and high cruising speeds. BMW Model R- 69 is available also in white color with extra large sports tank. BMW R 69-S 600cc Sport 42 HP Those riders desiring the ultimate in performance will find it in this superb sports machine with 9.5:1 compression ratio and 42 HP.
