Description
I have for sale a very scarce Annette Himstedt Kinder aus Porzellan(Porcelain Children) doll from 1996; she is "the little fairy" Merle from "ancient Germany". She is numbered #8/67(on her neck) and signed by the artist. She is approximately 21" in length. To paraphrase the paperwork, this doll is made of white biscuit porcelain fired at 1400○C; the painting had 30 to 60 colour firings. The wig is made of human hair and mohair. The glass eyes are handblown and manufactured in Germany. The clothes are made out of fine, high quality fabrics and lovingly sewn by hand.
Merle's clothing is also accented with porcelain flowers, flower necklace and flower crown.
A very finely made, lifelike, and limited edition doll. She is in excellent condition as shown
I was able to find her for sale in 3 places on the internet, first was The Toy Shoppe 50.00(you have to ask for the price), 2nd was Heseman's
at €5999.00/65.00, and 3rd was The Dollery at 00.00(again you have to ask for a price, and here she is only sold in a set with Merlin, her male counterpart, for 000)
I've listed Merle as "New" because she is in great condition; to my mind the only thing that would make a doll "used" is some type of damage, stain, or missing item.
Merle comes with her original box and paperwork; she has been stored so her clothes and hair will need some fluffing and airing out time(and possibly some styling which I don't dare try)
Merle will be carefully packed and shipped.
