Antique Brass/Cast Iron Victorian Doorbell w Lever Working Mounted c. 1890

Description

This is a very ornate lever type doorbell in excellent appearance and working condition.
The 5" diameter bell is made of metal with a chrome finish. The back plate is made of cast iron. The equally attractive handle is made of brass and is about  1" by 3-1/2 " long. The bell should fit a door up to 2+ inches thick
. While there is no manufacturer's name on the bell several of the components are consistent with
Sargent
bells.
I will ship the bell mounted on a piece of wood to ensure that it works properly and for use as an aid to installing the bell.
