    Description
    A 19th century store door bell consisting of a brass bell, 2 1/2" in diameter, mounted on a coiled wire spring, with a second bell of a slightly different pitch to attach. The item measures 11 1/2" from the hanging eye to the bottom of the bell. The way we arranged it to the entrance of our shop was to attach the wire with a washer and screw, at a 20 degree angle, held at that angle by a nail that caught the shaft about 3" below the eye. We then hooked the second bell to the bottom of the spiral. The piece is in very good, un-touched condition, wire rust-coated and brass un-polished.
