Antique Sterling Silver Guilloche Enamel Compact Mirror Gilt Embossed w 5" Chain

Description

This is a gorgeous compact with a 5" finger chain.  The inside gold/gilt frame around the mirror and in the base is much prettier than in the pictures as the flash washed the richness of the color out some. The powder it contains looks like "blush" to me! The compact measures about 2" square and has black enamel on the front inlaid with a panel with pictures of pansies. The back is marked E.A.M. STERLING. The filigree chain is tarnished, and I am sure that it has never been polished. It has a nice patina as it is. The clasp works great, and it is a very solid piece. There is a black spot on the mirror about the size of a pin head, and a couple whitish spots. It's a beautiful and unusual vanity piece! Shipping will be .00 in continental US. Thanks for looking!
