    Found in Maine… an Antique Taylor's Oct. 23, 1860 Patent Brass & Cast Iron Doorbell, *PARTS/REPAIR ONLY*
    It is missing the hand-crank part that would fit on the opposite side of a door and would turn the mechanical strikers/springs inside to ring the bell!
    Also, the brass bell piece “broke” off from the shaft that holds it.. so, it is currently not operating, but maybe someone can use it for parts/ or repair it? (Maybe solder??)
    The strikers and spring , star/wheel all are moving inside when I put a simulated handle piece (screwdriver tip) into the back to wind it!
    So there you go,,, a few old paint spots on the cast iron side from being mounted on a door for many years! Brass shows some tarnish, but overall decent looking!
