Handmade,  Barometer in an Brass Encased Oak Wood artistic Style Case, Rare Antique handmade by West Wood, Germany. The Barometer has black and red lettering on a porcelain dial; with Edelweiss flowers engrave into the brass.  Circa 1930s
As most science buffs already know, a barometer is a scientific instrument that measures Atmospheric Pressure, can be used to determine current and upcoming weather. Antique barometers, like the one being offered here, are valued collectibles.
The brass encased with oak wood design is "stick barometer"; also known a "mural barometers" which are wall-hung and features a circular dial near the bottom (banjo-type). This type usually played a prominent role as a decorative element in home decor in the 20th century.
This is a Rare, hard to find with a brass encased designed barometer with oak wood finish.
