The brand is well-known for its quality and durability, making it a reliable tool for measuring barometric pressure. Its sleek design and historical significance make it a great addition to any collection of barometers. This item falls under the categories of barometers, scientific instruments, and science & medicine (1930-now). It is a rare find and a valuable piece of history. Don't miss your chance to own this stunning barograph.
It appears that this Barograph dates back to 1859 since the brass plaque reads James and Elizabeth F. Pim 1859 - 1909 from their cousins at Craigmore.  It looks to be in great condition - the spring motor can be wound up but there are two very tiny coil watch springs that need to be replaced.  The cabinet hold a bottle of ink that is still usable, there are additional unused charts and a new pen tip in the drawer.  I found two receipts that had fallen behind the drawer one dated 21 April 1997 this was for a cleaning and adjustment, and one dated 6 November 1970 for additional charts
