Description
This is one of those rare birds that flew out of the coop in 1969. All original down to the Les Paul Gibson inlay without the dot, Firebird in line tuning pegs, maple three ply neck with sunburst finish, when no one was in charge of the Kalamazoo factory, at least no one that spoke banjo. One could earn an MBA explaining the bill of materials that went into making this banjo.Heavy, heavy. One piece flange. New Sullivan red maple 3 ply rim. Re fretted. It has the best of the early 50's bow tie inlays, peghead of the Earl Scruggs look of the rework on his cherished banjo. Much better banjo then the RB 250s of the 70's. Sounds great, sparkles. Nails on the fretboard and a new 5th peg. Case.
This has been my dream boat for years. Peg Head, inlays, sound and looks great. This thing pops!
