Pioneer SG-9 12 Band Graphic Equalizer Tested Nice!
Here's a nice Pioneer SG-9 12 Band equalizer which is apparently similar/same as the SG-9800 except it is champagne colored with a slightly different face plate and better switches. It has 12 bands from 16 to 32,000 hz for each channel, an Overload indicator lamp, and switchable for listening, recording, or off. and selectable 3 or 6 db steps.
I've tested it and it works well. I used it with my bench Onkyo Tx5000 receiver and slid all the controls and could hear the sound rise and fall except much on the 16,000 and 32,000hz. I'm too old and deaf for highs that high, but my dogs look like they heard it  ;-).  Kidding aside, I'm certain it works well. All the lights, meters and switches seem to work well too.
There was an issue with the Left channel slider LEDs not lighting due to an issue with one of them as they are in series. I found that the left 64 hz knob had been glued in place due to some broken supports and was causing an issue. I cleaned off the glue from the knob and the all the LEDs light now, but the knob isn't as tight as the rest and needs to be adjusted more carefully. This equalizer should work just fine for you; it does for me.
The cosmetics are pretty good too; you can see from the pics it looks quite nice. It's not mint, but it's in great shape for front row presentation, especially in a rack or stack.
All in all, this is a sweet equalizer in fine working order.  If you're looking for one of these or the SG-9800, this one deserves your full attention. Due to the value of this item, it will be shipped insured and signature required
