    Description

    This is a nickel plated brassTwist Type doorbell with a patent date of 1893. The bell was made by R&E of New Britain, Conn. The bell is in excellent working condition and appears to have little if any use. The Nickel Plating is all intact The bell is a little larger than most bells and it produces a nice loud ring as the key is turned in either direction.
    Except for the cast iron back plate everything else is made of brass.
    The bell is 4" in diameter and 4 1/2" with the mounting plate. The key assembly is about 4 `1/2" by 2 1/2". The bell should fit a door up to 2 1/2" thick.
    This is a very nice bell and especially difficult to find in this condition after 120 years.
