Interesting and very unique Italian made dagger/short sword dating from the mid to late 1800s era and most likely used for some sort of Spiritual or Satanic rituals. Mounted with a figural sculpture hilt of cast brass with gold gilt finish depicting a sacrificial figure tied to a tree topped with double beast head pommel, S-turned cross guard with one death head and one angel head finials. Wearing a broad double edged blade with extensive etched decorations, one side engraved "W. Italia" to one of the military banners or trophy flags. Solid overall and with its original green velvet over wood scabbard having ornate gilt brass mounts en site to the hilt.
