Sound Shaper Three-IC

Up for bids is an Audio Dynamics Corporation Sound Shaper 3-IC vintage paragraphic equalizer. This EQ was used in a custom home theater as two channels of a multi-channel surround system. It features Stereo 12 bands for a total of 24 bands of EQ. Each band can have it's center position shifted up or down depending upon the needs of the system and the room. This band shifting feature is similar to a parametric EQ but combines the functionality of a graphic EQ. Hence the name, Paragraphic Equalization. This is a rare feature to be found in vintage EQs and is why I originally selected them for my home theater. This EQ also features a
selectable 6/12dB mode so that you can make wide range or precise narrow range frequency adjustments. The gain is set by the two middle sliders and is at unity gain when both the upper and lower triangle indicators are lit.
This item has been tested and it works well. All bands work as designed. All LED lights work and so do the source selector switches. I noticed some slight crackling when pressing some of the buttons but this goes away once pressed and does not seem to affect normal operation.
Frequency response is from 5 Hz to 100 kHz +- 1dB. Includes a switchable subsonic filter set to 18dB/octave at 15 Hz for those wanting to use this with a turntable. Has an unswitched 200 watt accessory outlet for connecting another EQ, Amplifier or Receiver. This is an excellent, one of a kind analog Equalizer that will sound great in your hi-fidelity audio system.
