Description

Large-scale bronze collection (1 to 100) copy of the Soviet self-propelled heavy artillery mount ISU-152, popularly nicknamed St. John's Wort. The artillery installation had a caliber of 152.4 mm and up to 21 shells in the ammunition. This self-propelled gun was developed on the basis of the chassis of the IS-2 tank and was distinguished by its extraordinary power and, at the same time, great versatility - it was used as a howitzer, and as a tank destroyer, and as a self-propelled assault gun to support the attack of tank units. As they say, one hit of a shell of this installation in a medium-sized house was enough to destroy everything living in it. Of course, there were also disadvantages - low firing speed, difficulty reloading due to the large mass of shells (from 28 to 49 kg) and a small elevation angle that limited the firing range to 13 kilometers.
