  • Condition: This ballast was purchased in an auction and appears to have been used. The box is significantly worn, but the unit itself appears to be in good shape with minimal scratches. I plugged both power cords in, separately, and I heard a humming noise each time like it is supposed to make, but I do not have any 400 Watt lamps to ensure its functionality. Therefore, the ballast is being sold "as is" at a reduced price. See photos.

    Sunlight Supply Sun System VII Ballast - Super Spectrum
    The ballast itself measures approximately 20 1/2 inches x 8 1/4 inches x 9 inches and weighs 33.8 pounds.
    Also included are
    2 lamp cords that each measure 15 feet long and weigh 3 pounds each
    The ballast can simultaneously power:
    a) One 400 Watt Type M59 lamp (SS-7 MH400 120V 4.5A 400W 60Hz)
    b) One 400 Watt Type S51 lamp (SS-7 HPS400 120V 3A 400W 60Hz)
    This exclusive HID lighting unit burns 1 MH lamp and 1 HPS lamp. This offers today's grower unparalleled spectrum coverage by effectively blending the spectrum of metal halide (blue oriented) with that of high pressure sodium light (red/orange oriented).
