Vintage Bossons Hand Painted Hedgehog LE "First Encounter" Figurine England EXC
By Bossons - United Kingdom - well known for their chalkware head figurals, is this hand-painted stonite* figurine of a beloved English country-side denizen - a headgehog entitled "First Encounter." Dates from the mid-1980's.
Here the little hedgie is coming nose to nose with a small grasshopper. This figurine is part of Bosson's Crown Collection. Each is hand painted in Congleton, England by local artists. Sadly the paperwork is missing on this piece.
It measures 2 1/4 inches tall on a 6 inch by 5 1/2 inch wooden base.  Previously loved and not abused.
* Stonite is Bossons' trade name for resin material.
