Vintage Gold Plate Compact Purse With Gold Tone Mesh Strap Dermay Paris New York

We have for sale a vintage gold plate compact purse with gold tone mesh strap. This darling little purse was made by Dermay of Paris and New York. It came from my husband's grandmother's collection and measures approximately 4"W x 2 3/4" L x 3/4"H.
The inside is empty and has several compartments probably for powder, rouge, maybe perfume? The mirror is missing. There is a compartment behind the mirror that I'm guessing would have held calling cards.
It is engraved with what I believe are the initials "G C P".
