Watson Brothers Pocket Barometer Thermometer Scientific Instrument Military?

A nice old pocket barometer in very nice clean condition. It also has thermometer. The barometer itself will need some attention or adjustment it has not moved since I have owned it. A very nice old one possibly military issued? It measures approx. 2 1/8" in diameter and 1" wide and weighs 266 grams. I was told by a kind ebayer to put the barometer in a plastic bag, seal it and squeeze the air inside to see if the needle moves. This test proved to work and he said it should be fine.
